Crontab entry

What should be the crontab entry for a script:
to run at 3:00 AM EST Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri

Is this a homework question? I dont quite see the complexity of your question, and the following guide will help you: Crontab – Quick Reference
You will probably have 6 entries in your crontab since you are skipping Saturday.

Some versions of crond allow 1,2,3,4,5 in the "days" column as well. So, one entry is all that is needed.:

0 3 * * 1,2,3,4,5  /path/to/my/script.sh

As far as EST goes, crond interprets time according the the TZ settings when crond is initialized. EST and EDT (USA) are the default for that particular timezone. Yours may vary.

For Sun-Fri we need to include day zero.
