line printer log

Hi there
I'm working with HP/UX
I have found a line printer log file in /var/adm/lp.
this file contains the print process, the User, the Printer, and date/time.
My question is , where can i make a change so that this file includes the name of the file that is sent to the printer?
Could anyone help me?
many thanks

You can't do that.

You probably could change the interface script to maintain your own log of some kind. This would be harder than it seems because multiple copies of the script could be running.

And understand that if someone does something like:
somecommand | lp
there isn't going to be a file. I would expect that to be the case more often than not.
