On the second page of the preface, It refers to the 2 original versions: quote "AT&T (original) and Berkeley (extra crispy)"

Then it says "This book covers six different operating systems.

hey Auswipe... havent seen you in a while... Ive been absent from the boards...

I bought one last year at a half price books in Friso, TX..., but forgot I already had one at home I had bought about 5 years ago!!! oh well, I wont have to carry it home to read!! hehe
