Of course, you'd have to adapt your code to the fact that now you're about to "automatically" process a list of paths instead of merely a single one.

To do so, one way could be to change into the directory in question, then execute the code "from therein" and finally return to the starting point (- the latter more a matter of style than actual necessity).

Code:
cat paths.list | \
while read PATH
do
  cd $PATH
  # add your code here
  cd - >/dev/null 2>&1
done

Alternatively, you may want to rewrite your code to use absolute instead of realtive paths, i.e. by prepending the path in question to the relevant commands, e.g.:

Code:
mkdir $PATH/out # instead of ./out

Ok, now I am getting command not found errors. If my directory that had all of the sub-directories was this:

Code:
/cygdrive/c/Users/Regini/Desktop/file

Then where would I put this in the code you gave me?

Unix under Windows

Hi,
try MobaXvt
MobaXterm - The free multitab Unix browser for Windows
its a pre compiled cygwin binary which works well on XP and ok under Vista. I have found its great from simple scripting and has vi awk and sed are built-in,
as is ssh and scp.
