No guru at all but force to used Cygwin to get problems solved "the Unix way" on some XP machinery ... however:

I went ahead and re-installed Cygwin to have default file type to DOS, and now Im not receiving the error and it is working as intended by the commands!

I thank both of you for helping me out with this issue!

So now that all of that is figured out, now I need to add something else.

I am running these commands individually in about 200+ directories by manually typing each directory.

Is there a way to apply these commands to some or all of the directories by running specific commands that can be placed in the bash script I created?

You could, for example, compile a list of all directories in question ...

Code:
/some/where
/some/where/else
/any/where
/any/where/else

... then let your script iterate through this list on a one by one basis:

cat folders.list | \
while read ENTRY 
do
  process $ENTRY
done

When you say:

cat folders.list | \

Is the folders I list saved in a file called "folders.list"?

And when you say:

process $ENTRY

Is that where I put in my commands that are listed on page one of this thread?

Every time I run the command I get:

mkdir: cannot create directory `./out': File exists
mkdir: cannot create directory `./out': File exists
mkdir: cannot create directory `./out': File exists

I'm assuming this means that somethings going on to where its staying put in the folder where all the directories are, and not going through all of the different directories inside the main one.

Here is what I have:
