Where to download the screesaver for linux?
Hello, guys. I don't like the default screensaver the system comes with, so I wonder where I can download some screensavers for Linux? As well as desktop sheme.

what GUI are you using? if kde try: kdelook.org

everything else (maybe): freshmeat.net

First, make sure you have installed the xscreensaver (and other related packages). There are already many (60?) screensavers to choose from. Its hard to believe you can't find a good one among them.

Also try these places for themes and/or screensavers:

http://art.gnome.org/
http://themes.freshmeat.net

I have already installed xsreensaver but not much I like there. When I use Windows, there is a screensaver program does the Matrix's thing --- dropping characters. It has for windows and for mac. I saw the familiar one on early version of Redhat, but I can't find it in 9.0.

look at those links that were provided by me and cbkihong, they contain many downloads of different screen savers.
