problems with "realvnc" (solaris 8, intel)
Hello,

I'm in trouble installing RealVNC (Solaris 8, Intel). The script is always interrupted at the moment the vncpassword is evaluated (to be created). It always stops with the following message: "/usr/bin/vncpasswd: Syntaxfehler in Zeile 1: '(' unerwartet" - means as much as "/usr/bin/vncpasswd: syntactic error in line 1: '(' unexpected". Does anyone know a solution?

somethings this could be that you run a different bash shell or different shell then it is upposed to run in . and coudl you paste here the first few lines of the script then people proberly can help you. even if they do not know realvnc.

Thanks for your comment. The problem can not stay in relation with the script. I got struggled with your idea - regarding the shell - too. Unfortunately I've not been successful. I've got another Solaris-PC, which successfully handles the vncserver (as well as the corresponding script) - earlier released at www.realvnc.com.

It appears strange to me.
