I am using the below command to scp the file to destination server ($server).
The ssh keys have been created between the source and destination servers. Still I am getting password authentication after executing the below scp command:

I have two linux server accounts server1 and server2
From the terminal if I say this command,
scp /source/folder/from/server1/unix.txt user@server2.com:/destination/folder/
Then it prompts for the password
user@server2.com's password:

I have two servers A and B. I want to do scp with out password between these two servers.
I created ssh-keygen and copied the id-rsa.pub file to each of them in authorized_keys.
But I could login only from B to A with out password. From A to B it is asking for a password.

I'm trying to run scp as a one-line command, as of right now, it prompts me for the user's password to the remote machine. Does anyone know if there is an option to pass the password parameter into the scp command on the same line so it doesn't prompt me? Thanks! (1 Reply)

sigreturn -- return from signal

SYNOPSIS

sigreturn(const ucontext_t *scp);
DESCRIPTION
The sigreturn() system call allows users to atomically unmask, switch stacks, and return from a signal context. The thread's signal mask and
stack status are restored from the context structure pointed to by scp. The system call does not return; the users stack pointer, frame
pointer, argument pointer, and processor status longword are restored from the context. Execution resumes at the specified pc. This system
call is used by the trampoline code and longjmp(3) when returning from a signal to the previously executing program.
RETURN VALUES
If successful, the system call does not return. Otherwise, a value of -1 is returned and errno is set to indicate the error.
ERRORS
The sigreturn() system call will fail and the thread context will remain unchanged if one of the following occurs.
[EFAULT] The scp argument points to memory that is not a valid part of the process address space.
[EINVAL] The process status longword is invalid or would improperly raise the privilege level of the process.

I had a scare where after emailing it myself the formatting is ruined, but after looking it is ruined in Notepad but not Wordpad. Kind of annoying as I tend to use Notepad more but its acceptable unless anybody knows a way to secure the formatting after transfering a file from NT to unix to be used in Notepad?
