There is no process zero I thought, certainly not on my systems. Process one is of course init. Processes two through nine appear to be various reserved kernel things on my linux systems -- thread managers, disk swapping, hardware interrupts... but your mileage may vary. A lot of things in the kernel may have no process number at all, being the purpose of a kernel is to be the environment a process can exist in...

Its the process that runs whenever you start up the unix machine for the very first time. I dont know the process name exactly I will update you soon .
