how can i delete words based on search

hi,

I have a doubt. how we can remove few words based on search.
here im specifying my requirement with example.

ALL the words should delete between two words ...
those words will ends **


EX : cat infile.txt

"HI",ob1**,ob2,ob3,ob4**,ob5,ob6
OUTPUT should be : "HI",ob1**,ob4**


Im using solaris.

please help me....

use sed.. change this according to your file format

 sed 's/\(.*\)\(ob1\*\*,\)\(.*\)\(ob4\*\*\)\(.*\)/\1\2\4\5/g' file

thanks for quick reply. But it is not working....i feel my description is not clear...again i ll explain here...

EX : cat infile
ob1**,ob2,ob3,ob4**,ob5,ob6
ob7**,ob8,ob9,ob10**,ob11,ob12

OUPUT should be :
ob1**,ob4**
ob7**,ob10**

words which will ends with ** should present in the file. remaining words will delete from the file....

Pls reply me ...if it is not clear..........
