how do i get unix on my windows 95 computer?

Im sure this has been answered before, but its not a complicated answer... Unless your really new to all this, in which case it might be a little bit confusing. (This assums you want to keep your win95 on there)

Step 1 - download a 3rd party partitioning tool (Partition Magic?) and change the size of your Windows 95 Partition, leaving empty space for UNIX.

Step 2 - Insert your UNIX flavour cd and install to the newly created partition

Step 3 - Install a bootloader so that you can choose between windows and UNIX.

This is not to sound ignorant but as to be helpful.

The "search" button on the top right of each page in the forum provides a means to search posts and questions from the past. Your question has been asked in the past and does not need to be answered again.

As a matter of fact, it was just answered in regards to a Windows 98 system yesterday. Please read the forums before you post, you will find most of your answers before you even have to post.

Hi ,

I will go with android suggestion is the simpliest way . make sure u get the partion prepared before u install unix . just re-partition your hdd then the unix will use the unpartition space .
