I have a script that touch a file call "ready2prepro" and copy this file over to a remote host. I am using following scp commands were all the variables are exported before I run the script.

I have two questions here.
I need to find out the number of physical processors the HP-UX operating system is running in. Here i am referring to the physical processors in a system and not the number of cores.

So, I have been doing
rsh <remote> " cut -d " " -f 2 <filename> "
cut: invalid delimiter
