can I assign permissions only for some users ?

I know how to change permissions for the owner, group or others.

if I want a file readable for a group A of users
and writable for a group B how can I do it ?

Hi,

try extended permissions (acl lists)
There you can grant or revoke permissions dedicated to users or groups

You don't need to use ACLs. Put the readers in one group and the
reader/writers in another group and assign the appropriate permissions.
