UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers

Hello everyone,
I have been trying to get a list of all files containing a line of this type:
};#followed by anything
with any spaces (0 or more or 0 or more tabs) before the } and between each of the characters.
I have been trying this :
grep '[ \t]*}[ \t]*;[ \t]*#[ \t]*' *.c
but I have not been fully succesfull, since I also get the lines like this:
text {} ; # text
while I would not have wanted the line since it has strings (and not just spaces or tabs) before the occurrence of }.
I tried :
grep '^[ \t]*}[ \t]*;[ \t]*#[ \t]*' *.c
this does not get all that I expect to catch.

Can anyone please help?
