IF YOU USE SCO ,YOU COULD USE SCOADMIN TO ADD USER
IF USE AIX ,YOU COULD USE MKUSE OR SMIT TO ADD USER

On Solaris, AIX, HPUX, Tru64, and Redhat Linux you can edit the /etc/passwd file directly and add it, just make sure you know what you are doing. You can do the same for groups. Be aware some OSes, like Solaris, use a shadow file to keep the encyrpted user password so you will also have to update that file. You will most likely also want to set the user's password with the passwd command after you have added it to the file.
