From all the errors, i believe this means that the variable "ethhdr" has not been defined yet?!

A.) break your line 127 into multiple lines on every word boundary. this will help us
figure out EXACTLY what it's complaining about.

Code:
iphdr =
(void *)
((long)
&ethhdr +
(long)
sizeof(&ethhdr));

B.) then search the source code for the declaration of this variable AND
the definition of the struct or typedef. You must trace this all the way back
through any typedef's.

Where did you get this source code? Like I said, no matter what etthdr is defined as,
the code is trying to access an invalid point in memory --- and there must be
a better way to code this.

Thank you. The error on line 127 cleared up - I must have made a typo previously.

This line compiles just fine:

iphdr = (void *)((long *)&ethhdr + (long)sizeof(&ethhdr));

The next error is the next line - deferencing on line :

if (iphdr && iphdr->version == 6) {...

I got the source code from sipp.sourceforge.net

SourceForge.net: sipp: Downloading ...

thank you.
