Instead of deleting all partitions, you just want to delete the mandrake partitions. Be careful always when you are trying to mess with partitions!

Is it possible to keep the partition and uninstall linux. Then reinstall another linux then use the same partition?

Another question, I can delete this partition without messing with my windows partition, right? Because on the link you gave me it says delete all partitions and replace it with one main one.

Yes. You can keep the partition untouched actually and just restore the MBR (or even don't do this and have the installer of another linux distro overwrites it)

With some distro installers, you can select existing partitions during the installation and they will be erased during installation and overwrite with new partition.

Of course you can keep the Windows partition. That's why in my previous post I said you may just want to delete the mandrake partitions.

Okay, I'm just going to keep the linux partition and replace it when I install another linux. What free linux should I use?

That depends on what you want to use it for.

I guess I should not compare different distros on this forum, if I recall the rules correctly. Why not go to www.distrowatch.com and make a decision yourself?
