my knowlege in unix is very limited

I have no idea how to route the ip..
I changed the ip in the l

/etc/tcp **** changed ip here*****

/etc/hosts **** no sure what to change here****

/etc/gateways ***not sure what to change*****


/etc/networks*****not sure what to change*****

/etc/ppphosts
/etc/ppppool
/usr/mmdf/table/smtp.chn
/etc/bootptab

lets start over.

tell me what it is exactly your trying to do or accomplish

Please read the top post as this is what pdoug76 inital asked about.
Also note in the link provide it states how to change hostname/IP on SCO UNIX - it is not the same as Linux, Solaris, ... pdoug76 may not need to edit all those files but unless we get a SCO expert on board it may be the only good answer we can give.
