replacing folder name
hi all,

i have this kind of line in vi editor. for example /npcs/Rel2A/PROD/run

i want to replace /npcs/Rel2A/PROD with /npcs_sit/SIT_WAS_CE. What is the best way to replace it? Now i manually delete + copy + paste.

Maybe somebody can help me so in future i can use it.

read sed command, it will help U.

sed 's/string to replace/your string/g' infile > outfile

g represents global substitution
