To list only the very latest files
Hi,

There are huge no of files in the directory. If i say ls -ltr it is taking too much time. i want to see only the files for Feb,2009. Please help.

$ touch -t "200901312359" feb09
$ find . -newer feb09 -type f -print

# 3  
Old 02-23-2009
I'm afraid this is not working

find . -newer feb09 -type f -print
# 4  
Old 02-23-2009
What is not working? Any error messages? Did you do the previous touch command? Because the provided find only works it there is a file called "feb09", and will list all files with a newer modification time than that file.

Guys, Someone please guide me to tell me how do I print and later remove all old files in a folder recursively but keep only latest 15 modified files.
