Is there a linux version of dos2unix command?

I'm having some probs and i know in unix i can do a dos2unix command and fix it, and it looks like that may be my problem now, but linux doesn't have dos2unix of course, anything comparable?

what distrobution of linux are you using? if you want to use an RPM (if your distro uses them) then you should use your included package manager to keep your system uniform and organized.

IIRC, there is already something that does a similar task:

todos converts a UNIX text file into a DOS file.

fromdos converts from a DOS file to a UNIX file.

the todos/fromdos isn't installed on my RedHat 6.1 server. I'm trying to get the package installed for dos2unix, but at the redhat site they say that is part of redhat 8.0, i'm running 6.1. I tried it but it failed, needed some libraries installed. Will these libraries work in 6.1? Is there a place that has older versions of dos2unix pre rh8.0?

thanks
