the code is awesome but the input will be like this side by side!!!!
could we apply this to the the whole column?????

I think it's just missing the numbers from column1 and column 2!!!!!!

bogu$ sed 's/ {1,}/ /g' 1.txt | tr -s " " "\n" | awk 'BEGIN {FS=","} { for (i=1;i<=NF;i++) sum[i]=sum[i] + $i } END { for (i=1;i<=NF;i++) printf("%d,", sum[i]) }' 1.txt

0,9607,12887,24088,579,248,404,385,

sed 's/ {1,}/ /g' 1.txt | tr -s " " "\n" | awk 'BEGIN {FS=","} { for (i=1;i<=NF;i++) sum[i]=sum[i] + $i } END { for (i=1;i<=NF;i++) printf("%d,", sum[i]) }'

you have to remove the filename from the end.
