Your input file has DOS line terminators <CR> (\r, 0x0D, ^M) that prevent the script behaving correctly. DON'T use an MS editor, use a reasonable *nix editor to create the input file.

I am using vi editor and when i open file i dont see ^M, can we modify this script to achieve the given out put ? is that possible ?

Did you correct the errors (already asked in post#6)?

in the second if branch.

Different to what? And, is it incorrect?
For the you output, add another echo line to the end of the script.

no i edited my out put later, i was getting average and count & total as well.

sorry for that let try adding echo line at the end of script

You don't want the $count but the $value.
