Network Problem After removing glibc-2.3.4-2.39 rpm

Dear All,


I have messed up my server which was running rhel4U6 by removing the rpm package glibc-2.3.4-2.39 . kindly guide me how can i fix this problem . I have
tried to chroot /mnt/sysimage but it is not working.

Any idea's how to fix the problem

Congratulations. it must have been hard work to remove glibc. Smilie

chroot wont work of cource bcs it requires a valid login env which will not be given after glibc removal Smilie

try
rpm --relocate /=/mnt/sysimage
# 3

Xander,

You just remove the most important part of your system. Please note that glibc and kernel works in parallel if you remove if all things are broken.Try using rescue disk and try installing the rpm via rescue disk.
