shutdown and reboot unix server
Hi,

please could someone advise the best command to shutdown and then for it to reboot back online again.

Note: I shall be doing this from a telent session.

I am guessing you are using linux. Reboot would be the best command in your case since you are logging in using telnet.

In such cases where physical access to server is not possible, reboot is the best command.

Wait for a few minures and try logging into the system, with telnet.

it's a unix server - SunOS. basically need to reboot the server and for it to come back online again
