HP -ux and Linux

Helo,
I have some strange problem.

I have my application running on both hP-ux and linux(RHEL -4)

now when i start my application on HP -ux machine and if i give wrong systax( argument order not proper)
it gives me errors on the screen as expected.

but using the same code if i start my application on linux and if i give wrong systax (argument order not proper) then it doent give me error on the screen

I dont know why it happens.

can u give me some cluse so that i can overcome this problem

Without seeing the code - consider running your code in debug mode under gdb on the Linux box.
