I have a weird requirement. I am having a file with 12fields in it and the end of the line for each record is "\n" (Just \n and no carriage returns) and the field delimiter is "|". How would one delete every other two lines using VI? For example, I have the following 8 lines:

Line4
Line5
Line6
Line7
Line8
And wish to only delete lines 3-4 and 7-8. Is there a certain pattern which would make this easier?
