Difference between LIB_PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH
I would like to know the differences between LIB_PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH on Linux and SunOS.

I am getting an error while loading shared libraries on Linux (Omni works build environment) as shown below:


1:tradewind/dataaccess/*.pcc
1:/home/ps2/bsl/PSM/Linux/20081/ed/src/tradewind/build/build_dg_c tradewind/dataaccess "*.pcc" tradewind/dataaccess.pcctmp1 ".cc" h
1:/home/ps2/bsl/PSM/Linux/20081/ed/src/tradewind/build/build_dg_c: error while loading shared libraries: libstlport_gcc.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
4:tradewind/dataaccess/*.pkg_def

2:tradewind/default/*.csh
