Help: Sun Disk partitioning for Sun V240 & StorEdge 3300
Dear Sun gurus,
I have Sun Fire[TM] V240 server with its StorEdge 3300 disk-array. Following are its disks appeared in format command. I have prepared its partitions thru format and metainit & metattach (may be i have made wrong steps, causing the errors below because I have done thru some document given by my fellow and formed d26 mirror with submirrors as d27=disk2 & d28=disk3).
AVAILABLE DISK SELECTIONS:
0. c1t0d0 <SUN72G cyl 14087 alt 2 hd 24 sec 424>
/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2/sd@0,0
1. c1t1d0 <SUN72G cyl 14087 alt 2 hd 24 sec 424>
/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2/sd@1,0
2. c2t8d0 <SUN72G cyl 14087 alt 2 hd 24 sec 424>
/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2,1/sd@8,0
3. c2t9d0 <SUN72G cyl 14087 alt 2 hd 24 sec 424>
/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2,1/sd@9,0
4. c2t10d0 <SUN72G cyl 14087 alt 2 hd 24 sec 424>
/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2,1/sd@a,0
5. c2t11d0 <SUN72G cyl 14087 alt 2 hd 24 sec 424>
/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2,1/sd@b,0
6. c2t12d0 <SUN72G cyl 14087 alt 2 hd 24 sec 424>
/pci@1c,600000/scsi@2,1/sd@c,0

But after rebooting, it gives me following errors repeatedly and my filesystem is hanged after sometime.
WARNING: md: d27: write error on /dev/dsk/c2t8d0s6

After rebooting again, this file system works normally, but after 1 or 2 days, it takes very long time (20~30 seconds) to write/read and execute commands (even ls takes longer time) and eventually, it gets hang. When I run "metastat" after rebooting the machine, it shows my disk state as below.
d26: Mirror
Submirror 0: d27
State: Needs maintenance
Submirror 1: d28
State: Needs maintenance
Pass: 1
Read option: roundrobin (default)
Write option: parallel (default)

d27: Submirror of d26
State: Needs maintenance
Invoke: after replacing "Maintenance" components:
metareplace d26 c2t8d0s6 <new device>
Size: 142820160 blocks
Stripe 0:

c2t8d0s6 0 No Last Erred
d28: Submirror of d26

Size: 142820160 blocks

Kindly suggest me in detail so that I can remove the partitions and retry to format. I need your help as I am not good in Sun and its utilities.
Thanks.
