When cron schedues a job for any user, It does not process the profile & ~/.profile. Hence any exported variables needs to be exclusively exported in the shell script which you place in the cron. I woul say add the following ino the begining of your script.

. ~/.profile

Guys!

My Cron job is now working. I checked those existing entries that are currently working from the crontab and copied exactly the environments into my script, and it works!

Thanks for the help! Smilie

cron

hi!

in the script u have specified ./ instead that u can place the complete path and try out , hope this may solve your problem, still if u face problem try to create a symbolic link to the script file with execute permission and u r redirecting the script output to the null device so there is not output it seems

Please advise.

Thank you very much.

no limitation , but it depends on the system process management and available system memory , just check memory and try to add the lines in script.and the script doesnt have any recursions
