Password reuse utility

Does anyone know of a password reuse utility for Solaris 7 or 8? Security people are telling me that I need one.

Thanks

If you mean password history, then it is available in Solaris 10.

From sunsolve:
Password History [Solaris 10 onwards only]

To record and require that users can not reuse the last 'n' passwords the HISTORY variable maybe set in /etc/default/passwd. Password history is currently only settable for all users. The history can be 0 (disabled) or any value up to 26.

Check with your Security team and find out exactly what is required - if it's the password history, you may have to upgrade to 10. If it's just password aging, then there is more info on sunsolve or in the man pages.
