Sun Solaris "prtdiag -v" on redhat

Does anyone know of a command or list of commands that shows the same amount of detail as prtdiag -v for redhat linux?

try dmesg and see if it gives what you are looking for

The thing is Solaris (and hence prtdiag) is designed to run (ignore intel here) on very specific architecture (i.e. SUN hardware) so can be tailored to report extensively on the hardware on which it resides.

Redhat can be installed on dodgy old 486 boxes, high end HP DL740s and other architectures besides Intel, so it's impossible to write tools that will probe hardware and report in that kind of detail.

Yes, browsing dmesg, searching around under proc (and using proctools) are probably your best bets.
