error message

I get this error message as soon as i log in

-bash: /usr/local/software/.../vni/CTT6.0/ctt/bin/lopt64.sh: No such file or directory

I looked into the etc/profile but there are no lines sourcing this file.

And there is no lopt64.sh in the directory vni/.../bin

I couldn't fogure out what the error is !

Thank you,
Mohan.

Just a guess but it might have to do with IMSL fortran..

As the first line in your .profile add a line:
echo one
And as the last line in your .profile add a line:
echo two

Does your mystery message appear before, after, or in between the two new messages?

It appears in between one and two

thats a clue to find out,

similarly try for other lines in your .profile

firstline
secondline
thirdline
fourthline

just echo "something"
in between each of set of lines you can find trap the error.
