client / server pipe?

Hi

Can anyone tell me the simplest way to get two bash scripts to communicate with each other when running on two different servers?

Is it possible to use a named pipe or something similar?

Thanks in advance

Code:
./myscript | ssh username@host ./otherscript

Also possible is things like netcat (nc).

This seems to work well with a listener sitting on a pipe -

Code:
printf "%s\n" "test from vm" | ssh sshtest@tx5xn "cat >> /tmp/testpipe"
