I use bash, not because I think it's better, but because it was what I learned first and I don't feel like taking the time to learn any additional shells. So far, bash has everything I need: command line history, vi keys, and useful shell variables like CDPATH and EDITOR. The scripting language is not that powerful, since it doesn't work with floating-point numbers, but it's still useful for most command line oriented tasks.

OS X comes with /bin/sh, /bin/bash, /bin/tcsh, /bin/ksh, and /bin/zsh. The default is bash.
