Mapping dir/folder

Dear All,

Please advise:-

I want to do a folder mapping from Sun Solaris Server to another WindowSytem. So that, my JSP Application can get read xml files.

Note: The folder is created at the WindowSystem, for example, "xmlshare".

Is it needed to install Samba for it to run?

Thank you.

Regards,
Tommy

Samba would be an obvious choice for this, and create the share on the Solaris side, nd map it as a drive on the PC.

Another option would be to install one of the many NFS servers for windows, and (auto)mount that on your Solaris box.
