Please Help!!

Hello, everyone.
I was wondering if you could help me out with some question. I have a college final that deals with /proc/(pid#)/maps. The teacher is really horrible (we never went over this in class), and i dont find the man page helpful with specifics. Here are some of my questions on the review sheet that im stuck on.

here is an example line from the homework

Address perms offset dev inode Path Name
4002c000-4003a000 r-xp 00004000 03:01 76022 /usr/sbin/ypbind

1. Is the address physical or virtual?
2. What is the page size? I believe it is 4096 (bytes or bits?)
3. What device does 03:03 refer to? How do i find this out.
4. What is the overall meaning of the proc/pid#/maps file

If you guys and gals could help me understand this, it will greatly be appreciated.

Leon Ross

Leon, you might want to read the RULES

Most of this was part of Parrallel::Runner intended for use in the Fennec project. Fennec is being broken into multiple parts, this is one such part. FENNEC PROJECT
This module is part of the Fennec project. See Fennec for more details. Fennec is a project to develop an extendable and powerful testing framework. Together the tools that make up the Fennec framework provide a potent testing environment. The tools provided by Fennec are also useful on their own. Sometimes a tool created for Fennec is useful outside the greator framework. Such tools are turned into their own projects. This is one such project. Fennec - The core framework The primary Fennec project that ties them all together. AUTHORS
