Version of BMC Patrol???
How can you determine the version/level of BMC on a given Solaris server?

You can try using the strings command and grepping for version
$ strings patrolexecutable |grep -i version
# 3  
Old 03-23-2005
BMC Patrol version
You can also go to /usr/adm/best1_default/bgs/bin and run 'what bgscollect'
# 4  
Old 12-16-2007
You can run the followign command
PatrolAgent -v // from Patrol3/lib
