Hi Friends,

I have to write a script to find the file name in the directory.
file name in the directory is like
sourcefile_abc_001.txt
sourcefile_abc_002.txt
sourcefile_abc_003.txt.

valuename in the file i.e. between '_' and .txt i.e. 001 or 002 or 003 will be in another file and I have to get that file only that has value recieved in another file.
For example if value is 002 then i have to get the file having file name from directory as sourcefile_abc_002.txt and process it.
Please help me out in writing this script.

supposing that filtervalue.txt contains the values you want to get (one on each line):

for value in `cat /path/to/filtervalue.txt` 
do
   ls -x /path/to/targetdir/*_${value}.txt  >> /path/to/outputfile.txt
done

then outputfile.txt contains only the filenames you have to process.
