As Corona688 advises the sort of comms commands which cut you off act immediately (ifconfig , route, kill, ... etc.). There are many commands with delay (init, shutdown, powerfail .... etc.).
Hi methyl and Coronna688, the problem is solved now. After hard rebooting the machine the issue is resolved. Entry is also created . Thanks a lot for your timely replies which made me comfortable
