Mail server in centos!!
Hi all!!


1. I am totally new to Mail server but now in our management decided to run own

mail server, still now we are running our mail server using godaddy!! if we

transfer

all mail accounts to here means what are the steps i need to do??

2. I have basic idea in postfix , which is the best to configure mail server

postfix or sendmail??

3. any step by step document to configure mail server means please post that is

really helpful to me!!


4. We are using centos version 5 x86 bit

Besides the postfix (with RDBMS?)/sendmail [E]SMTP service, people need:
  1. accounts set up,
  2. storage,
  3. some way to pick up mail (POP, IMAP, web mail of some sort, something that acts like MS Exchange/Outlook),
  4. all their clients configured and
  5. all their old mail moved?

Hi friend,

Using this link Linux Mail Server Setup and Howto Guide i configured still squirrel mail configuration i did , now problem in squirrel mail if i login the mail box using the Username means i can able to login but using fully qualified domain means i cannot able to login.

Example : anish.valsalam@station1.example.com (using this name i cannot able to login)

using : anish.valsalam i can able to login. i don't know what is exact problem, even i configured DNS correctly..quite confuse stage :-(
