You need a tool such as tcpdump ( http://www.tcpdump.org )
or ethereal ( http://www.ethereal.com )

Ethereal relies on the libpcap libraries provided on the tcpdump site.

You'll need to run the commands as an administrative user (i.e. root).

You can also try ngrep ( http://ngrep.sourceforge.net ).

Run port scans with nmap. Only use nmap on/against machines you are authorised to do so! ( http://www.insecure.org/nmap/nmap_download.html )

Cheers

No Sir it isnt hacking attempt, I am working with a local bank and they dont have a document pertaining to data message commnicated from a very old Card system on TCP port. So from the help of Zazzybob i will finally have the data now. I am installing a new Cards System using ISO 8583 messaging .
Thankyou very much Zazzybob.
