Question Hard links for directories.
Hard links for directories are not permitted by default. But in some flavor of Unix, super user can create hard links for directories by some other way? Is that true? Is it possible in latest version of BSD or other unix?

I haven't yet found any modern UNIX that permits hard links for directories, ever. I believe this was for security reasons, though I never totally understood that explanation. This may depend on the filesystem as well as the kernel, too.
