Question Cross platform Authentication

I am looking to have UNIX authenticate against Active Directory in a Windows Server 2003 environment, any suggestion? I am very new to UNIX, 2 weeks worth knowledge, if that. Thanks!

Dont know what kind of unix you are using but if there is PAM support and or kerberos 5 support you could do it ..

try searching the forums for pam , kerberos and windows AD.. also try google.

I have managed to make stuff authenticate against a windows AD with PAM and the kerberos modules.. its not easy and you will need the usernames on the unix box but the "authentication" of the password will be managed by the AD.
