SMTP going to Junk Mail

Hi All
I have a slight problem with sending mails from my server - if I send mails to Yahoo! or Hotmail, either direct via the SMTP server, or through sendmail, the email ends up in the account holder's Junk Mail folder.

Is something in the headers causing these emails to be treated as junk? Is there something I can edit somewhere to perhaps change this behaviour?

Many thanks.

what do you mean it ends up in the junk mbox?

it is prolly either:

1) your host cant be resolved. this would almost automaticly get treated as spam.
2) they (the account holders provider) set up a filter to block certin stuff.
3) the user put a filter on there account.

Hi Optimus
I mean the email goes into the 'Junk' folder of the Yahoo! or Hotmail account. With Hotmail it is somewhat understandable since they now automatically filter all email NOT in the user's address book into the Junk folder.

However with Yahoo! I am puzzled - I am using numerous test accounts and I have not setup any such filters - yet the email automatically goes into the 'Junk' folder.

1. My hostname is resolvable
2. As mentioned, no filters
3. Ditto

Could it be anything else?

the reason your emails are getting filtered is not due to the sending side of this equasion, it has to do with the recieving host.
it is flagging it for spam for one reason or another.

The only thing i can suggest is contacting yahoo mail support as they are doing the filtering.

If it is legitimate email then i am sure they can help you.
if it is spam thank gawd they are filtering it out, my inbox gets enuff junk.
