FTP to another server using SSH
Hi,

One of our server running on ssh.So when we are logging using putty,we used to select ssh option and provide the auth key.But if I am ftping some files to this ssh server from another linux server,how I can do that?

you can either use scp or sftp.

sftp works just like ftp, interactive, but does the data transfer using ssh. in simplest form:

sftp user@host

scp is behaves like the cp command but copies across servers using ssh for data transfer.

Code:
scp [user@host1:]file1 [user@host2:]file2
