NFS for Windows

has anyone used any products to map windows drives to a solaris machine?

if so can you please let me know of any problems you have seemed to have and which products you have tried.

Not solaris, but I've used Samba to map Windows shares to several different falvours of Linux.

Can Solaris use Samba or an equivalent?

nope. there is no smbmount for solaris version of samba.

right now i am testing out sharity. and its seems to be pretty easy. on a daily basis i transfer a few thousand files per day. usually in 200-300 files per batch. so we will see how the performance will be compaired to ftp.

well sharity seems to be working like a charm.

its extreamly easy to setup and use.
it has yet to give me any problems transfering files.

i am debateing if i should try setting up Hummingbird's NFS Maestro software. just to see how well it works vs. sharity and which one would be easier to implament.
