a hp ux 10.20 tar to DVD ?

Is there a DVD burner compatible with HP-UX 10.20 ?

Data is tar'd to a DAT tapes (Sony 90M dat tape drive) and I would like to take all of these tapes as I'm quickly approaching tape #100 and place them onto DVD format ?

Can I do such a thing ?

thanks
simon

I'm pretty sure that HP-UX 10.20 does not support DVD at all. And I have never heard of anyone burning a DVD on HP-UX. For that matter, I have never heard of anyone burning a CD on HP-UX.

well I think I may have come up with a work around solution:

I do a tar cvf /dev/dat * a samba shared folder. (basically take what's on the sony 90M dat tape and place it on a samba share)

then access this share from my windows box which has dvd burner and burn the thing ?

it may work ?

thanks for the help
