Data dmispd still detected by scan utility
Hello,

I need to disbale the rpc snmpXdmid & dmispd.
In order to simualte it I enabled this services by running the follwoing command:

/usr/lib/dmi/snmpXdmid
/usr/lib/dmi/dmispd

I run a scan and it found both services. Then I killed both PID of these services and also delete registration for the RPC service by executing: rpcinfo -d 100249 1

I run a scan again and this time it found only
/usr/lib/dmi/dmispd service Smilie.

What am I missing here Smilie ?

How can I disable this service, so the scan will not find it ?

Since you did not tell us what operating system you are on and the particular version of the operating system, it is difficult for people to help you.

Look in the startup scripts for where dmi is being started and disable the appropriate startup script or service. For example, if you are on an older version of Solaris, unlink the S77dmi script in /etc/rc3.d.

Hi, I need to zip/compress a data file and send to a vendor. The vendor does have only unzip utility and can accept only .ZIP files. I do not have zip utility in my server. OS is not detected CPU and memory

Hi, Server AIBVRFCC failed POST while booting on 06/28/2009. Hi, I have got myself a new hard disk- a 80 GB SATA IDE from Seagate.
