Hi,

What's the process to open 2 vi editor at a same time.

Plz let me know.

Why would you want to open 2 vi's when vi can open multiple files?

Vi editor can open two or more files at the same time just use this:

vi file1.txt file2.txt

for more explanation man vi

review your session's aliases and make sure that 'vi ' isn't an alias for something else...

alias vi

Maybe 'vim' will work better than classic vi?

Hello everybody, My question is: how to add /tmp/work at the end of line in vi editor. my file looks like: cp file1 cp file2 cp file3 **** I need to add " /tmp/work" at the end of each line. I tried this :%s/$/" /tmp/work" and this :%s/$/\ /tmp/work\/ but it does not work. (2 Replies)
